One of Ecocleen’s core values is to celebrate success and recognise the hard work of our hugely valued staff. Another is to focus on building strong relationships with our clients. We’re delighted to share this recent success story from our Ecocleen North East team, who live and breathe the Ecocleen ethos of fostering long-term relationships to achieve success.
Ecocleen recently won a contract with Doctors Lane Surgery in North Yorkshire, thanks to the persistence, relationship building skills and hard work of our North East Regional Director, Patrick McCowie, who has shown that commitment and dedication will pay off.
Doctors Lane Surgery first came to Ecocleen’s attention by way of a referral to Patrick from another surgery, as Doctors Lane was experiencing problems with its existing supplier, to the detriment of its cleaning standards. “A big part of our business comes from referrals, as we put a lot of effort into building strong relationships,” explained Patrick.
Ecocleen’s attempts to work with the surgery didn’t come to fruition the first time around. Doctors Lane Surgery decided to give their existing cleaning company another opportunity. Patrick wished them luck for the future, but kept in touch, promising that Ecocleen would be on hand should things not improve.
Patrick’s commitment paid off when, two months later, the surgery contacted him asking for help. Along with the help of Area Manager Sarah Redfearn, Patrick sent a mobile cleaner to the surgery the very same day, demonstrating Ecocleen’s dedication to providing an excellent service no matter the challenge.
It was Ecocleen’s values that really shone through in winning this contract. The Area Manager at the surgery’s previous supplier had been based 150 miles away, so Ecocleen was able to add real value with its local, personal touch, right down to selecting a new cleaner who lived in the village, Shane McFarlane. By way of Ecocleen’s strong local connections, Patrick and Practice Manager Emma Reah selected Shane who, despite having never cleaned commercially before, has shone in his new role through his enthusiasm and attentiveness.
The team at Doctors Lane Surgery are delighted at the vast improvement they have experienced since working with Ecocleen. “Shane regularly asks staff members if their cleaning is acceptable and if there is anything further he can do for them,” said Patrick. “He is polite, courteous and committed to making sure that the surgery receives value for money in their cleaning service.”
Practice Manager Emma Reah said: “Shane has been with us about a month, after a very short notice start date. We were catastrophically let down by our previous provider. Shane is new to us, and in fact commercial cleaning altogether. To say that he is doing an amazing job is an understatement. He is punctual and reliable, and cleans to an extremely high standard. He proactively seeks feedback from our staff regularly to make sure that he is doing what we need him to, which he is always is. I can’t tell you what a difference Shane has made to us here. Cleaning is an unseen task, until it isn’t done properly, and then it causes all sorts of issues. After months of poor service, and complaints from staff about things that had been missed, Ecocleen and Shane are a breath of fresh air – literally!”
We’d like to congratulate Patrick, Shane and Sarah for their efforts in this hugely motivational and inspirational story.
